looked like this
It sure looked pretty out there and driving wasn't to bad either. Today the sun is shining, but it's cold out there. I need to venture out and do a little rearranging at my holiday rented spot and hopefully have lunch with son#1 who is blowing through town on his way to hunt with some buddies.
Took a little road trip with some other "woolies" the other day. This is a group of ladies who decided to get together and do projects with wool and yarn. Since we are all fortunate enough to be home during the day, this is a daytime group and will get us out of the house during those cold winter days, LOL. You know a reason to bundle up and brave those ishy weather elements. So we headed out bright and early on Tuesday morning and made a little pit stop for some nourishment and a little coffee delight.
Our main goal for the day was a wonderful quilt shop in Shakopee, MN called Eagle Creek. (Lordy I hope this link worked. I've gotten advice from a couple of bloggy peeps who are trying to teach this inept poster how to do this stuff since my last try at linky link didn't work. I was feeling so big in my britches that I knew what the heck I was doing - NOT.) Here's a few pics of this awesome shop. They were in the Quilt Sampler a few years back, can't remember the date. It's in an old railroad station that has been refurbished. They have samples galore along with a wonderful selection of wool. What's that you say "girl you don't need anymore wool". Well you would be correct on that, but it's a sickness, LOL I know. But that's why this "woolie" group was started. We support each other in the pleasure of buying more. How's that for justifying what I bought :)
Isn't this a cute idea - wool letters glued onto a suitcase - this greeted us at the front of the building
here's a little tour of the inside
we stopped at an antique store and I found this cabinet which I LOVE, and might have to think about it for out at the lake
made several other stops which I forgot to take pics of and this was the last stop of the day and I remembered to break out the camera when we were leaving - this shop was also in The Quilt Sampler a few years back - it's a big shop and they also have a nice selection of wool - but I didn't buy any wool from them, just a couple of notions which I will show you tomorrow
So tomorrow I will show you what I purchased - as if I really need anything more - but you just never know when you'll get back to these places, right?
Until Next Time
