How are your holiday plans coming. I'm working at getting things crossed off the list. My Christmas cards should be here today so I can get those sent out this weekend. Most of the shopping is done except for a couple of those people who are a bit harder to buy for. So wrapping and a little baking and I should be in good shape.
Last weekend was supposed to be a girls weekend down in Mpls. 9 of us chickies (pic taken at the play)
were to head down early, do some shopping, have a wonderful dinner, head to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, stay overnight, shop the next day and then head home. Wellllllll as you might know a major snowstorm hit the Mpls area dropping up to 20 inches in some areas and even having snow plows pulled off the roads because it was just to bad. So the play we were to see Saturday night was cancelled (and we weren't going down there anyway) and were lucky to get into the matinee on Sunday. I will say those snowplows can sure clean up enough in a hurry for people to get around. I tried to hard to get good pics of the amount of snow down there- can you see that little head beyond the snow pile to the left of the snow pile - those snow piles were high I tell ya
Some one who said this better not be on the blog :)
So in my last post I talked about a piece of furniture that I've been wanting for a looooooooooong time and I finally have one in my front entry
It's a wonderful colonial print and fits just right in that spot. It's by Dunroven and called a Jefferson Settle. I've ordered a braided rug and need something else above the settle like a shelf or artwork and would like a different table than the cream colored one - but it's a start, right? Finding the right big piece is the first start of finishing it off. This is on the other side of the entry
Looking into the family room
So I'll be back this weekend with more Holiday Decorating. Now I'm off to the shop for the day. The store and website will be closed from the 19th of December through the 6th of January. I'm looking forward to some time at home with my family and working on a few projects for the house and store.
Until Next Time
