Time to start putting all of the holiday decorations away. I also realized I didn't take the rest of the pics I wanted to. When I had the time or thought about it - the sun was to bright and the pictures would look washed out. I have a couple from the sun room
I want to show you also the new chair that came here to the Farmhouse before Christmas
it's so comfortable which is a bit deceiving when you look at it. Would be a great sewing chair. Right now it's in our bedroom, but might move to the family room now that the tree is down. My Dad used to say when I was younger that my bedroom furniture should have an odometer on it because I was always rearranging my bedroom and the miles I must have put on it. My Mom always said she was afraid to come wake me up in the morning because she wasn't sure where my furniture would be and she might hurt herself by bumping into something, lol. Yes I LOVE to move things around.
Everyone knows that I love my little plastic vintage Santa that my Mom gave me years and years ago. First thing out during holiday decorating - then I know it's that time of year. So like Mother
Speaking of family. My brother and his wife popped up for a little visit last week. MaryJean my SIL had the fun of sitting in the portable ice fishing house with Mr. Farmhouse and Cami
Then we all jumped into Marty the Mule
(why does Mr. Farmhouse need 2 fish houses you ask, well one stays permanently in it's place once it's set in early December until it comes off the end of February, the portable one can be taken down and put up and pulled by Marty The Mule anywhere on the lake or another lake if you choose to go somewhere else and Mr. Farmhouse does) So we had a great time with lots of laughs and as usual the time always goes so fast. Thanks guys for making the trip.
What else is new - oh ya someone got a new toy from Santa
Santa also brought me a fun new techy toy to conquer-
I've enjoyed toying around with it and looking forward to getting books on it. You can change the font so no more glasses while reading, YAHOOOOO. Speaking of books during my vaca I finished up this book
Let's see - we had 2 major snowstorms/blizzards come through 1 day apart which took care of our New Years Eve party - so we will get together this Saturday for our party instead. Here's a couple of pics - this first one is Ms Cami's area that we can let her out without a chain - also known as Pickle's Garden because we call her Pickles as much as we call her Cami or I call her Peanut Butter.
Anyway because Ms. Cami is a lowrider (meaning low to the ground) we have to shovel the area out - between what's been shoveled and the wind blowing the snow you can see how high the snow is. Before he could get to Pickles Garden he had to shovel his way out of this door from the garage because of a huge snow drift
the lights outside on the walkway have all but disappeared - they look like little space ships don't they
So I think that catches me up so I can start this new year fresh, on the right note and totally up to date. I've enjoyed my time off from the store and am recharged and ready to get back this week. I've done a little sewing while having my time off on the winter series for Farmhouse Woolens
not as much as I had hoped to get done - but that's life and I'm not stressing over it - right. I'm practicing that in 2011. Life is short and it's time to enjoy the ride. Still thinking on that word for 2011 and the list is getting narrowed down. I'll let you know this week. Have you thought about a word for your 2011?
By the way I'm going to try and answer every comment that I can and it will always be in the comment section, so when I reply to you and your looking for an answer, pop back to comments and it will be there, it's just easier and faster this way for me, hope you don't mind that.
Wow could this post be long enough, lol - I need to get a move on those decorations and get them put away so I can pull out the needle and thread.
Until Next Time
