Like you I don't always take the time to decorate for holidays, but I love when I do. Your hearts on the table are so cute. Please show us the center of the quilt!!!!!

Joan Moore

Love your gorgeous pillow and all your pictures! You've inspired me. Happy Valentine's Day! Have a great evening with your hubby!

Jana

I am so glad that you shared your mother's words today. I don't always take the time to decorate but she is right, do it for yourself. Love the pillow and the hearts on the table, inspiration for next year!

Sheri

I totally agree, I got away from doing it as well....too much work....blah, blah, blah. Then about a year ago, only I didn't have someone to say it to me. I decided I wanted to do it for me. It made me feel good and creative and I wanted those things around me that were from my hand and that of my grandmothers, I started a creative blog. I enjoy your blog every time I read it. :)

Pat

Oh, yes....I am the same way now with the decorations but I do need to get back to it because I DO like the decorations myself and so what if nobody else sees them? Thanks to you and your mom for a kick in teh butt about this!

Siobhan

Tell your Mother Tother thanks for the kick in the tush that her words brought for me, too. My kids are young adults now and holidays just aren't as magical as they were when they were younger. But, I realized this past autumn that part of what made them magical were the decorating and fun that I added to the house. So--that's my goal for this year--do more seasonal stuff.

Show us the center of your quilt!

Patricia

Happy Valentine's Day! I love your pillow and collection of hearts.
I continue to decorate for each holiday...sometimes I tell myself that it is a waste of time but then I realize how much I enjoy looking at all the "treasures" I have accumulated through the years. I have things neatly organized and labeled for storage...our attic is FULL. I still cannot resist picking up another little treat for the house, but I have become very selective. Since I'm past the cutsie stage, I box these decorations up and donate to our local thrift shop.
Remember...IF THERE's ROOM IN YOUR HEART THERE'S ROOM IN YOUR HOUSE...LOL

May we see the table topper under the basket? I love the pattern and colors. Thank you and Happy Valentine's Day to you!!

Happy Valentines Day, your decorations have a lovely touch, and your new little girl is sweet as cherry pie! I love the hearts on her dress.

I always enjoy seeing your house and decorations. Do you remember where you got the star with the candle in it? I love it!!!

Louise

Thank you for the lovely post today on your blog. I think that Mother Tother shared some very sage advice with you. Thank you for passing it onto us! Don't forget to thank Mr. Farmhouse.

Cute decorations Miss Karen. I love the green chair the pillow is sitting on. Very cute!! I need that chair and you need my new gate. hmmmmmmm :)
Happy Valentine's Day!

Kathleen

I love all your Valentine things but the little girl and the Crow and Snow are both just adorable!

Annie

Thanks for sharing your mom's thoughts on decorating for the holidays. I have cut back since my son left the nest. But she is right! we should decorate for ourselves. I did put a few things out for Valentine's Day and have pulled out my St. Patrick's stuff already! It does make me smile and my hubby too!

 Thimbleanna

I'm definitely guilty of not decorating anymore. Maybe when I'm not working anymore, I'll get back to it - I like your outlook, but for now, I'd rather spend my limited time enjoying the dcorations online - I don't have to put them away LOL! Love those cute little hearts and heart pillow!

Kathy :)

I feel as your Mum does I decorate for me, I do admit that I did more when the kids were small, but I still get a lift seeing the decos. They're nice to have around :)

Still no snow in our neck of the woods, really can't remember this happening in my life time, but no complaints it's been great !!!

Have a great week-end,

Kathy :)

Same here~ I got away from decorating too, but I'm on my way back. ;-) Love your cute doll. My DD had a dress kind of like that when she was younger. Have a happy day!

Mihelle

You are right Karen, it is time to celebrate all the holidays. It seems like when you become an empty nester, it doesn't seem all that important, but it is. It is good to celebrate all of life's little holidays.

Barbara Sutton

I love your Little Yellow Farm House... I have not made enought cute quilts to lay around like you...I like every thing you do in your house. You are so smart to decorate....I need to get going on more.
Love to email with some ?????

Pat

Hi Karen,

I am sorry to do this on your blog but I have a question and I was unable to find your e-mail address. When you had your shop I ordered three of the black wooden small qult hangers. It had a shelf on the top and two plain knobs on it. I would like to purchase one more for a friend. Any information on this little shelf /quilt hanger would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Susie Delewese

Hi Karen...Hope you didn't blow away up there. Been wondering about ya. Hope all is well.

Jan Hietpas

Same as above...miss your posts.
