My friend Joanie
lives in Minneapolis but has a darling lake cottage on another lake really close to us. I met her moons ago when she used to live in the same town as I did and I decided to join the evening quilt guild - (which she was instrumental in starting up) and I think she was president of the guild at that time as well. Anywho we reconnected when I had my store and she popped into see what the heck Farmhouse Woolens was and there I was - then I found out she had her cottage so close to me - who knew lol. So her summer this year has been as crazy as mine but we managed to get together a few weeks ago at her place for wine and cheese and today she popped over here for lunch, conversation and a little stitching, but mostly conversation - we seriously never run out of things to talk about. We love to talk about decorating ( I'm seriously going to pop over to your house in Mpls to check it out - you know Joanie I think it would make an amazing blog post - I'm just sayin) stitching, patterns, family, life and our mutual love of fabric lol. I asked her if she had some quilty goodness at the cottage that she could bring for my blog posting tonight - she sweetly brought a few things and she also brought dessert. Can you say yummy - a wonderful light almond cake. I made a new pasta chicken salad with dried cherries in it - sooo good as well - dang I didn't take pictures of either one.
Here's a few things she had to share - all of them soft and pretty
now how did Cami get in that picture :)
Thanks Joanie for a fun afternoon - always full of laughs and great conversation - someday we might even stitch more LOL.
Tomorrow I share a special gift from a peep.
