One that's easy peasy and yummy as well. Not sure where I found it because I printed it off from the internet - but it's a good one.
No Fuss Fruit Pie
- 1 pkg Puff Pastry Sheets - thawed - I used Pepperidge Farm
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 can (21 0z) fruit pie filling - I used Cherry
- Confectioners Sugar
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork or whisk. Unfold 1 pastry sheet on a baking sheet. Spread pie filling on top of the pastry sheet to within 1 inch of the edge. Brush the edges with the egg mixture. Unfold the remaining pastry sheet and place on top of the pie filling. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal the 2 pieces. Brush the top with th egg mixture. Cut several slits on the top of the pastry. Bake of 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Cool the pastry on the baking sheet on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with the sugar. Cut and serve with ice cream - yummmmm.
