Has it been almost 2 months since I've blogged - well now that's just wrong isn't it? First off thank you so very much for all of the sweet emails checking in on me to make sure all is well at the Farmhouse. Even Mother Tother who I talked to several times a week - asked what was up and why I hadn't blogged lol. If your on instagram check me out - I tend to post there much more often - my instagram account is yellowfarmhouse.
So here I am and everything is good here at the Farmhouse. Life has been busy with just the daily stuff and I was down with the crud for a couple of weeks which all adds up to no posts. I realized when I reread my last post I was going to share my fall decorating - welllllll now that's not going to happen since I'm already decorated for the holidays lol.
So let's do a quick catch-up - as stated I was down with the crud for a couple of weeks - even missing the annual fall quilt retreat I go on with the peeps and the beeps - now you know I was sick lol. Ms. Cami was my constant snuggle buddy during that time - nothing like a warm pup when your under the weather
We've had several fires already - oh my there's nothing like a real fire and the wonderful warmth that comes from it
I've cooked up some new recipes that are slap your hips yummy
We enjoyed some absolutely beautiful color this fall - this is the road into the Farmhouse
Fun crab dinner with friends
hey what happened to that pile of crab lol
Sighhhhh we dealt with an ongoing problem that I think is finally behind us
so what do you do - well you just take the whole dam thing out and recheck everything - what you don't have parts of your heating system sitting in your living room - lol. Let's say the original heating people are NOT allowed in our house but the new guys are welcomed anytime - Mr. Contractor has been awesome getting this taken care of. We could write a book - but I don't think we will - we would rather forget about it lol.
We went out and saw our favorite little owl on Halloween - who was under the weather that night but still happy
who loved the little puzzle we brought up for her
we try and see this little peanut as much as we can - she's changing so much right now and such a hoot - dang we love her
I've hosted a couple of groups in the nest - so fun
Fabric delivery for the nest
This delivery was the beautiful Floral Gatherings - yum
A little sewing has gotten done - website is coming very soon - I just need to load it up with goodies
Had my final check-up and arrangements made for a little cataract surgery next month - this little issue has really slowed down the sewing and reading - can't wait to get-r-dun
Finished up the Christmas decorating except the trees
Ms. Cami is snuggling in for the colder weather. She will be 12 in February and is showing signs of slowing down and unfortunately losing her hearing- that has made us a little sad. But at times that little puppy still shows up for a bit. No matter what she always makes us laugh and gives us lots love.
She seems to think Ms. Ellie is ok and they get along nicely - maybe it's nice to have someone her size around lol - but she also knows to move quick when Ellie is on the go :).
Well I think that catches you up. I have lots of show and tell to share with you from the groups that have been here and that I've gotten together with. This week brings the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving one of my favorites. It's not only a time to reflect on what we are blessed to have in our lives but also for Mr. Farmhouse and I it's a time that family travels to us to spend that holiday together. My sister comes tomorrow with others following on Wednesday and of course Thursday. We will have a houseful until Friday and looking forward to it. This year a couple of babies join the group - how fun will that be. So check back next week where I promise to have some fun show and tell to share with you and maybe a few surprise giveaways to celebrate the holiday and the month of December.
Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving holiday. I hope your travels are safe if your on the go or safe for those traveling to see you. However you spend the holiday and where ever the table is that you sit at - enjoy and give thanks.
Until Next Time
