Sorry to have been gone longer than I thought. Life can get busy and boom its two weeks since I said I would be here. How the heck is everyone doing out there? Oh glorious fall is in her prime right now and I'm loving it. This morning there's a wonderful super windy chill in the air and the lake is pounding with big rollers coming right towards us. I love the sound of the waves crashing into the beach. The leaves are really starting to turn beautiful and we are hoping for a leaf ride later this week and hope there are some still left on the trees after today lol.
Mr. Farmhouse bid on a plane ride at a fundraiser we attended this spring and won. Sunday was the perfect day for flying so off they went for a 3 hour tour (sounds like Gilligans Island doesn't it) but he did come home. Anywhooo they took a little trip over our house and he got some amazing pictures - this one is my favorite
and on this one you can just make out in the lake the difference in the depth in front of our home - it's very apparent in this picture - how cool is that. You can tell we live in farm country.
When we were in Madison at the quilt show we had the wonderful opportunity of meeting up with Tammy a blog reader and basketnut1 if your on Instagram. Before we all headed out to dinner she gave us a quick tour of her beautiful home and all of her wonderful quilts, hooked rugs etc. Her decorating is just my style as well as her style in quilts, rugs, wool creations and stitcheries. The peeps and beeps really enjoyed seeing it all. Please enjoy the quick tour of some of the highlights of that night. A few of the pictures are coming in sideways and I can't figure that one out.
