hey, weren't you and I doing that same Jan Patek design? Challenge for next year? LOL Love that you improvised when necessary. You're so right...the ladies back in the 1800's didn't have their pick of fabric like we do now. Good job. Love the quilt show. My kind of projects.

Love your cute little block -- I've always loved that star pattern. Great quilt show pics too. Funny -- that little flower/9-patch quilt that you said you have a kit for is a quilt that my mom always said she wanted to make -- she loved that quilt!
